In line with other parished areas in the city, the ownership of the dog waste bins lies with the Galleywood Parish Council, although the City Council currently empties them once per week, at no direct cost to the Parish Council.
In adverse weather conditions, (i.e. snow and ice) every effort will be made to collect all dog waste bins but only those that can be reached with a vehicle.
Maintenance or replacement of the dog waste bins is the responsibility of the Galleywood Parish Council.
You can find out more about dog fouling on the City Council's website.
Bags and Bins
Dog owners are responsible for supplying their own dog bags. However, in an effort to make it easier for people to have access to dog bags, free dog bags are also available at the City Councils' Customer Service Centre, as well as at the Parish Council office at the Keene Hall and also at the Galleywood Heritage Centre.
If you have any problem relating to a particular bin, or in relation to the supply of bags, please contact the Parish Clerk on: 01245 358898 or Deputy Clerk on: 01245 348756
